  1. Formal upright bonsai style : Chokkan

The trunk should be straight, upright and doesnot continue till the top of the tree and the branches out in every directions about of 1/3rd height of the tree. The leaves and branches forms like ball-shaped crown which is also a stunning look during winter season.
  3. Slanting Style: Shakan
    When wind blowing in one direction or the trees grow in the shadows and should blend towards the sunlight, then the tree will lean in one direction. But in case of Bonsai online, the leaning style of bonsai grow at an angle of 60-80 degrees relative to the ground. The roots also well developed on one side to keep the tree standing.   4. Informal upright style: Moyogi
    This style of bonsai is common in both nature as well as in the art of bonsai. In this informal upright, the trunk grows roughly like in the shape of 'S' letter and every branchings occurs. Tapering of trunk should clearly visible with the bottom of trunk is thicker than top portion.
